After listening to 25 bands, three clips sold us on The Colbys for our wedding...The Colbys' music was key in making our wedding amazingly wonderful for us and “the most fun ever” according to our guests. The band is funky, cool, and made everyone want to get up and dance. The Colbys play great mix of R&B songs that fit the mood of the crowd. And did we mention the vocals? All we can say is “WOW!”

Bev and John are not only outstanding artists (she with her voice, washboard, maracas and contagious smile and he with his piano playing musical arrangements, band leadership and sparkling eyes), They were delightful to create with. They handled business like pros and incorporated all our wishes and visions into their musical presentation. Sometimes foreground, sometimes back... before the evening was over, they were adopted into our tribe of family and friends, by mutual desire. Indeed, love was all around and the band highlighted the emotion we all felt, contributing greatly to our “Celebration of Love.” Surely, our only regret is that we can't throw a party that big every year.

For my sixtieth birthday, I wanted to have a party that I would have as much fun remembering, as I would have at the party. I wanted to have music that would move everyone to get up and boogie. We asked Bev Rohlehr and the Colbys to be the band that would rock the evening. Their presence, style and their own physical enjoyment of the music filled the evening with an irresistible energy for me, my family and my friends. I wish I could have a party every weekend, just so that I could bring in Bev and the band.

Bev & John & the Band - Just wanted to send a note to let you know that you guys were awesome last night at BB King's Dance Club. We have seen you seven times in the past two years and always have a fantastic time. We were able to get eight of our friends to join us last night who have never seen you guys before. They kept thanking us for inviting them and even though they were in their early twenties, they said it was the best band they had heard in a long time! Great time! We will definitely get them to join us again when you play at more local clubs in Simsbury and Hartford. Congratulations again on a great performance last night. The whole horn section was new to us and they were great too! We love your other vocalist, too, have seen him once before with the sax player — they're great!
